Exactly, lol, as the title of this post points out, this can all be confusing stuff to a new writer, where does one start, what is the purpose of each of these, which if any should I use for a novelette??

I think for my first book, being fiction, I will keep it short and sweet and go with a dedications page and a page for acknowledgements and then into the story, Chapter1!
